3rd Annual LGBT Research Symposium:
An Interdisciplinary Symposium on LGBT Research in the Social Sciences
2015 Theme – Methodological Challenges and Opportunities in a Changing World
Date: May 7 – 8, 2015
Keynote Speaker:
|
Program: The theme for the 2015 symposium was change. The legal (and in some places, social) climate is changing rapidly in terms of support provided to LGBTQ individuals and same-sex couples. What does this mean for researchers studying this population and the methodological challenges and opportunities inherent in this shifting culture?
The afternoon of Thursday, May 7, 2015, we hosted two methodological workshops led by emerging scholars in the field, Dr. Alex Wagaman and Dr. Jessica Fish. This half-day event provided brief introductions to participatory action research and latent class analysis. The program for Friday, May 8, 2015 included a variety of break-out sessions with 3-4 panel speakers per session and the keynote address. View the full program for both days HERE.
